Society teaches us to go to school, get in debt, and try to make as much money as possible. They tell us to work for 'the man,' and even if you have other interests, don’t quit your day job. But what if all of that doesn’t equate to happiness?

Well, this summer I’ve made a decision that I’ve contemplated and prayed about for years. I've hung up my corporate hat and I'M TAKING BLESSED LITTLE BUNGALOW FULL-TIME! I’m so excited to put 100% of my time, talent and energy into the brand and business I’ve been building for the past five years with only 5% of my time. There will never be the perfect time, but the right time is RIGHT NOW.

I know folks think I’m crazy. "Didn’t you just start a new job?" "Didn’t your company just go public?" "Didn’t you just buy a house?" Yes, to all of the above. LOL There’s nothing negative or discouraging that anyone can say that I haven’t already contemplated or said to myself. Let's be honest...this is risky AF. I’m terrified and my anxiety has been at an all-time high for weeks. So why do this? The only answer I have is that “IT'S A GOD THING.” I never wanted to be an entrepreneur. I just wanted to climb the corporate ladder to sit in somebody's C-suite. You know, follow society’s plan. It would be far easier to stay in a place of comfort, predictability and stability. Well, Proverbs‬ ‭16:9‬ says that “We can make our plans, but the Lord determines our steps.” So when He says move, it's time to get up and go! Every move I’ve made in my career and life has been a leap of faith. This one is no different. No risk, no reward. Additionally, every investment - MBA, job positions, marketing experience, etc. - has prepared me for THIS moment. 20% of U.S. small businesses fail within the 1st year, and by the end of their 5th year, roughly 50% of those don't survive. BLB has already beaten these statistics, so there’s no turning back now. It’s time to take things up a notch. Big dreams require big moves, and BLB absolutely deserves it!
