As shared last month, I’m SO excited to participate in High Point Market’s Spring 2022 Design Influencers Tour!

Now that High Point is finally here, here are the Top 5 things I’m looking forward to during my visit to High Point:

1. Meeting and hanging out with my fellow HPMKT Design Influencers

In partnership with High Point Market and Esteem Media, nine incredible designers and I will be exploring High Point together on Sunday April 3rd and Monday April 4th! I am SO excited to meet each of them: Heather Fujikawa, Rasheeda Gray, Don Ricardo Massenburg, Haneen Matt, Jennifer Maune, Marissa Nelums, Pamela O’Brien, Rebecca Plumb, and Rhoda Vickers Hendrix. We’ll be exploring several showrooms for 48 hours including Theodore Alexander, Eichholtz, Hooker Furniture, Hubbarton Forge, Bungalow 5, Dome Decor, Minted, Jaipur Living, Kalco Lighting, Stickley, and Universal! 2. Celebrating the Launch of Cheryl Luckett x Wildwood Home

When I first launched Blessed Little Bungalow, I sought the advice from my cousin, Cheryl Luckett of Dwell by Cheryl Interiors. She’s based in Charlotte, NC and also entered interior design as a second career. I’ve admired and been mentored to by Cheryl for years and I’m so excited to support her upcoming launch with Wildwood Home! I’ll be joining her and the team for an intimate dinner Friday evening and the official launch event is set for Saturday afternoon with Luxe Magazine! I’m so inspired by Cheryl’s journey, talent and evolution. It’ll be an honor to be present for her launch with Wildwood!

3. Celebrating the Launch of TOV’s Voice Collection

On April 1st, one of my favorite brand’s, TOV Furniture is launching a deeply innovative collection, designed exclusively by 6 elite black interior designers: Nicole White, Nile Johnson, Erika Ward, Justin Q. Williams, Carmeon Hamilton and Don Ricardo Massenburg. The Voice Collection is officially launching at High Point Market and TOV is hosting a meet-and-greet with all 6 designers and the TOV team on Sunday April 3rd providing a sneak peek at the collection and a fun night of music, food, drinks and fun! I’ll be on the High Point Design Influencers Tour with Don and I’ve also had the pleasure of meeting Carmeon a few months ago. I’ve loved incorporating TOV in many of my residential design projects over the years, I can’t wait to celebrate each of these designers and learn more about TOV’s Voice Collection!

4. Exploring and Building Relationships with my Favorite Design Vendors

As overwhelming as High Point Market seems, I’m super excited to explore and take it all in! My cousin Cheryl introduced me to The Cool Girl’s Guide to High Point Market, a curated guide created by interior designer, Marisa Wilson! The 14-page guide gives an in-depth cheat-sheet on navigating the 13 city blocks of showrooms, educational and social events, and tips and tricks to keep in mind along the way! In addition to the amazing vendors we’ll be meeting during the Design Influencers Tour, some exhibitors I’m excited to visit include LoLoi Rugs, Eastern Accents, Caracole, Surya, Four Hands, Arteriors, Phillip Jeffries, Noir, Hudson Valley Lighting and Saatchi Art.

5. Spending Time with my Fellow Interior Design Friends

Because this is my first time attending High Point Market, this will be the first time I’ll be meeting so many fellow designer friends that I’ve only interacted with on Instagram. My roommate for High Point is Timala Stewart of Decurated Interiors. She’s a fellow e-designer that I met about a year ago when she attended a Rising Tide Society event I was a guest speaker for. We connected via Google Meet a week later and have been design besties ever since! We meet weekly for accountability sessions, share best practices and challenges as we navigate this full-time entrepreneur designer life together. High Point will be the first time we’ll be meeting in person and I can’t wait to hug her in real-life along with so many of my other IG friends like David Quarles and many more!

My flight leaves Friday afternoon and I can’t wait to arrive! Save travels everyone and see you soon, High Point!
