Blessed Little Bungalow x Mitchell Black
Hello friends! I’m so incredibly proud to share that I’ve partnered with Mitchell Black to launch Blessed Little Bungalow’s FIRST wallpaper collection!
The Blessed Little Bungalow x Mitchell Black Collection is inspired by my love of layering color, geometric shapes, and art, with a nod to my world travels, Southern roots, and African culture. With six stunning patterns, each available in four fabulous colorways, this collection is a testament to Blessed Little Bungalow and Mitchell Black’s shared love of vibrant, pattern-filled, and approachable design, as well as a deep appreciation for the art of making one's house a joyful home.
Why Mitchell Black? Like Blessed Little Bungalow, Mitchell Black is also a woman-founded, minority-owned business. It’s a dream for me to collaborate with Lynai Jones, a visionary in this industry that I’ve admired for years. In her words, “"The collaboration with Amber is a true meeting of minds and a celebration of design excellence, especially within the BIPOC community. Together, we are pushing the boundaries of what's possible in interior design, marrying the colorful with the contemporary. This collection speaks to the heart of those who appreciate the transformative power of well-designed spaces." After using Mitchell Black’s wallpaper in my client projects for years and following their growing brand, I was thrilled to receive an invitation from Lynai, Brian, and the Mitchell-Black team to collaborate on my own collection. Working with their lead designer, Dan to create each design was a phenomenal experience and I’m so excited for you to see what our months of labor have matriculated to.
Are you ready to see the collection? Here we go!
Abstract Attraction
When designing spaces, my signature style includes gallery walls, geometric patterns, and statement artwork. This wallpaper brings a playful combination of these elements while giving any space an eye-catching and inspiring pattern to stop you in your tracks and keep your guests talking.
Colorways: merlot/taupe, olive/charcoal, gold/terracotta, denim/slate
Gentle Giraffe
I love the gentle giant of the giraffe, as it’s my favorite animal. My most memorable trip to Nairobi, Kenya included a birthday visit to Giraffe Manor, where I was able to spend extensive time with the reserve’s resident herd of Rothschild’s giraffes. This wallpaper is a celebration of these beautiful animals and their symbol of standing tall with courage in spite of any obstacle.
Colorways: olive/clay, denim/garden, mauve/cream, grape/chartreuse
Lowcountry Sweetgrass
As a South Carolina native, I grew up loving sweetgrass baskets and admiring the women that weaved and sold them on the streets of Charleston. For more than 300 years and tracing back to the slave trade in West Africa, people throughout the Lowcountry have woven these traditional baskets from natural grasses. This patterned wallpaper is dedicated to both the descendants and talented artisans who continue to preserve the history of this unique art.
Colorways: black/teal, plum/peacock, mauve/blush, black/brown
Glass Half Full
I am a believer - in faith, gratitude, and positivity. This design reflects my outlook on life, manifesting your dreams, and making things happen. As a lover of geometric shapes, tile, and symmetrical pattern, this patterned wallpaper is an artistic representation of being cutting edge while creating positive vibes.
Isle of Palms
The Palmetto State will always be home for me. As a Lowcountry girl, South Carolina Gamecock, and beach lover, Isle of Palms is dedicated to one of my favorite places in my home state to visit and relax. This pattern is a playful, artistic play on palm leaves, dated back to Biblical times and an ode to the beauty of the Atlantic coast.
Colorways: gold/taupe, navy/denim, olive/charcoal, teal/cream
Tribal Traditions
As my South Carolina and Mississippi family roots link back to the African countries of Nigeria, Cameroon, Mali, and Ghana, I honor my lineage and heritage with this tribal print. Whether incorporating baskets, Kuba or mud cloth or Black art in one's home, Tribal Traditions is a celebration of the Motherland, Black liberation and African pride, no matter where one lives in the world. From an accent wall in a boutique hotel room to your forgotten powder bath, this bold pattern is sure to elevate any space.
Colorways: black/gold, peach/cream, merlot/taupe, olive/charcoal
