It’s Week TWO of the One Room ChallengeⓇ and I’m so pumped to show you what I’ve been dreaming up for the loft space!
I want the loft to truly be a multi-functional space, for my nephews and niece, but also for me. I want it to be kid-friendly with furniture and décor that can’t be easily stained or broken, but also furniture that’s easy for the kids and I to move around when rearranging the room for games, activities, and sleepovers.
I’m excited to partner with Spoonflower on this project because of the vast selection of wallpaper, home décor, and fabric they have available for me to choose from! I’ve been browsing through so many options over the past week as I’ve been dreaming up what I can do in this loft space with the products they offer!
After brainstorming a bit on paper, here’s the initial mood board I created for the space:
As I envision the room, I want to give my nephews and niece enough space to play together or individually in their own “zones.” I also wanted to include enough storage for arts and crafts supplies, board games, books, and snacks. I hadn’t yet decided if I wanted to purchase and mount another Frame TV or make the space media-free, but the new media cabinet would provide a surface for a TV as well as additional storage to tuck things away. I am going back and forth about whether to include a desk or table in the space or not, but I think the comfy rug and coffee table will give the kids enough space to play and that’s something I can always add later. Lastly, I want the space to be visually stimulating! It will include a multitude of colors, patterns, textures, and elements of inspiration!
What do you think of the look? What should I consider changing? Again, these are just the initial mood boards, so we’ll see what changes are made over these next six weeks!
Be Blessed,
Amber
